Development Of Cellulite Condition
Cellulite can be termed as a skin disease but not a hazardous one and it mostly affects the women. It is sometimes seen in men as well specially among those who are a little overweight and have a tendency towards smoking. Whereas there are various other causes for the appearance of cellulite on women, it can be due to genes, hormones, fat deposition and other reason as well. It is commonly seen in slim women as well. Cellulite commonly affects women in the age group of 25 to 35 though it is common among adolescents as well as women who have crossed their menopause.
Cellulite is mostly commonly found on the outer thigh, buttock and the upper arm area of the human body but a normal cellulite is not a life threatening problem. There are times when cellulite can also occur on the abdomen as well. It has been said time and again that fat and cellulite are not co related but it has been noticed by some researchers that the intensity of the cellulite appearance in the body is more with the increased fat content. There are a number of other causes that can lead to cellulite; this includes genetics and hereditary problems that can lead to cellulite.
It has been noticed that cellulite is a common occurrence among people who smoke and consume alcohol as this allows the toxins to be accumulated in the body, which cannot be flushed out of the body. Lack of an exercise regime also leads to the accumulation of fat and this fat cannot be turned into energy at times because of the lower metabolism rate of the body. Smoking affects the lymphatic system of the body as it restricts the blood vessels, which results in less oxygen circulation. The circulation causes the skin to sag and also loose its elasticity that leads to cellulite.
The stress factor is also important in increasing the cellulite level in the body. It affects the excess fat production by increasing coristol levels in the body, which lead to fat storage. The more fat allows the skin to push through the subcutaneous level and leads to the formation of cellulite in the subcutaneous layer.
One should know this that cellulite is not a problem that is developed in an instant or makes it appearance within a week as well. It takes time to develop and progress in stages. There are primarily three stages in which the skin condition progresses and cellulite develops. The first and the foremost is the when the lymphatic fluid is drained out and this starts the appearance of cellulite. The lymph fluid helps in the blood circulation in the body. It is the main medium of transferring blood to our cells. At this moment there is no cellulite visible on the skin.
In the second stage the veins and the capillaries that are present in the body are weakened because the lymphatic fluid is reduced and it tends to burst out, which can cause a leakage of blood. In the third and the final stage the cellulite becomes visible on the skin. The lymphatic fluid starts to be collected in the fat tissues. This is the time when the skin starts to appear like orange peel and the entire area gets inflamed, at times there is pain also when there is pressure applied to the area. This leads to the complete breakage of the cells and everything starts to get stored in the fat cells of the body. This leads to the dimple or the pucker skin.
There is no complete cure from cellulite known yet so one has to remember that prevention of this skin disorder will be better than finding a cure for it. You have to remember that there should be a lot of water intake everyday, a minimum of eight to ten glasses. You have to remember that there should be less of fatty acids in the food. Keep a regular exercise regime in your everyday activity as this will help in keeping that cellulite at bay. You should follow at least half an hour of exercise regularly.
