It is very unfortunate because dental implants fail more often. Even if the best procedures are used in dental implant there are no hundred percent guaranties that the implant will last without any problems. Anything can go wrong with the human body and if the standard of the treatment is compromised it is more likely to invite problems.
Different types of dental implant failure
Infection: if the fixtures are poorly fitted and the techniques used are not proper it can cause infection.
Implant loosening: the substandard fixtures which are placed prematurely, and if the screw is fitted to a not strong enough bone get loose.
Impairment of nerves: if the radiographic three dimensional techniques are not used to place the fixtures into its particular position, they can impinge on nerves which are running through the jaw. It can cause numbness, tingling and pain in gums and below.
What causes dental implant failure?
Short cut of the diagnosis: sometimes dentists try to use the two dimensional panographic x-ray which is suitable for various dental surgeries but not for implants. It is not adequate enough to place the implants seeking the exact position of the bone to fix and without harming the nerves.
Improper medical conditions: the medical conditions which are needed for the dental surgeries affect their success and if these conditions are ignored than the implant is sure to be a failure. It depends on the care of the dentist how he treats the patient.
Inadequate fixtures: among the several companies who manufacture dental products for implants, all can not be trusted. The research for the good dental products is expensive and many dentists do not want to spend on it and do their work with any products available to them. The patients also want their expenses to be less, so ultimately things go wrong after the implant is completed.
