Decorating The Children’s Room
When you are decorating it is important to set aside a budget not only for the house but to understand the budget for each room. When you do decorate you are not going to do it again for at least fifteen years. So be very sure of what you want and how you are going to spend your money.
Children’s rooms are done depending on the age and sex of the child. Sometimes your kids may be sharing a room as well. If the kids are already over ten do not make it look very childish even if they want it to look like that. They will grow up fast and not like it and you will not do it up so quickly again. When you do the you will surely need lots of cupboard space especially as the kids are growing older.
They have tons of clothes, shoes and bags. The desk is another important item in the children’s room. Make sure the area is well lit and airy and has enough space to work and has enough storage space at the bottom and the top so that the child can easily access their books.
Whether you have one child or two kids it is better to have a double bed or twin beds so that you have room for a friend or a guest that you may have. Also make sure that you have storage under the full bed; even if you feel that you may not need it. If you have a girl child make a dressing area for sure with a full length and some drawers for her to put her accessories and perfumes as she will slowly add an to her stuff. Avoid painting the room with very dark colours; instead paint any one wall another colour to offset the room.
Your child will need a computer in the room so save an area for that even if you are not going to put it immediately. There should be a separate cupboard for the child’s games and toys which should not have a lock. A chest of drawers would also add to the look of the room.
