Dating Tips for First Timers
Everybody gets excited when asked out on a date. Dating has become amongst children as young as thirteen and fourteen as well. Gone are the days when one had to wait for the man to ask the woman out.
It works both ways. We all want to go on a date and are quite excited to be asked out.
But lots of things should be remembered when going out on a date. Firstly make sure you know the person well enough and have met earlier in larger groups and you do have some sort of compatibility. When going on a date it is better to first go on lunch dates and coffee dates till you get to know the person better. Choose more public places like malls and theatres rather than secluded and shady restaurants.
If your date asks you to come home by no means say yes. That is surely a bad idea. You have no idea who will be home and what the plan is going to be. Tell him where you would rather go in case you are not comfortable with the place that has been selected. Your first date need not be a romantic one and you may soon realise that the person is not as great and fun to be with as in a group.
Avoid drinking alcohol on your first date as it can make a bad impression. Stick to one drink if you really need it. Be clear from the start on how you will get there and if you need to be dropped home. Also let your date know what time you need to reach back. If at any time you are not comfortable during the date; then feel free to leave.
Whenever you go on a date make sure that there are at least one or two people that know where you are going and who you are going with. This is especially necessary if you are not going to be informing your parents of your whereabouts. Carry your cell with you at all times and do not put it on silent. Ask a friend to call you half way through the date to check on you. So go ahead and enjoy.
