glowskinGenerally people feel that cleansing of body is as same as cleansing our skin. That is why they don’t feel that cleansing is not much required in our daily routine, but those who think so are wrong because cleansing of skin is as important as cleansing of body. Cleansing helps in removing dirt, excess oil, and thus helps your skin to breathe making your skin vulnerable to ageing, clogging and pigmentation.

Skin cleansing is very important because pollution, dust, grease clings to the skin and blocks the pores while body eliminates toxins through perspiration which gives rise to minor skin problems and irritations will transpire.

Before cleaning your face you should wash your hands so that transfer of bacterial infection can be prevented. You can use soap in any form, rub our hands vigorously between fingers and especially under your finger nails.

Start up with your hairline and massage gently upwards with light moments of your finger tips over face, lips, chin and down the neck. Leave the cleanser to get absorbed for about 1 minute to let the dirt or make up come out. Wipe away the visible dirt with the help of a clean cotton pad or tissue paper sloping downwards towards the neck. And then finally rinse your face with cold water but the water should not be too cold or too hot to wash your face as it will harm the skin.

Cleansing can be done with the help of soaps, cleansing creams, face washes, and mechanically also. Soaps cannot be used over dry skins as it also gives a dry effect. People with normal skin type can use soaps but they can use it once or twice a day. Where oily skin people gets benefit by cleaning their face with soaps as it gives drying effect over the skin.

Next alternative you can have is cleansing cream or lotion. They are easily available in the market as per the suitability to different skin types. They can also be used to remove makeup and dirt. But the main difference in them is that they can be in different forms that are gel, lotion, milk, foam, oils and liquids.

Mechanical cleansing of skin is dermabrasion. In this treatment mechanical rubbing is done over dead cells with the help of sand, sawdust silica or pumice. People having dry skin should avoid this treatment as it can prove to be harsh for their skin types while others can easily use this treatment.

The cleansing procedure differs for different skin types

Normal skin: the best type of skin with least number of skin problems. You can use rose water to refresh your skin, after that use a light moisturizing cream to make your skin glow. Secondly you can use a light cleansing cream at night before going to bed and massage gently to remove dust from your face.

Dry skin: you need to add more moisture to your skin, which can be done by using soaps containing glycerin or any other type of silicon. Dry skin is somewhat delicate at times due to its dry flakes. For that you can use a light exfoliating product to remove dry flakes and make your skin look healthy and glowing.

Oily skin: you don’t need any greasy soap for your skin type all you can do is choose a soap containing salicylic acid to suit your skin. Say no to creams and you need to wash your face at least 2-3 times a day secondly you can use face packs to balance the oils from your skin.

Sensitive skin: you need little mild soap for your skin as sensitive skin gets rashes. You can call it combination skin also. In which T zone of our face that is forehead and nose part remains oily and rest area remains dry. For this type of skin you need to take special care while choosing cleansers or any other product.
