Choose your Wedding Jewels Wisely
While you wear your wedding dress for only a few hours and store it for a few decades in the hopes of passing it down to someone in the family you can wear your wedding accessories for a long time.
The wedding jewels not only work around your wedding bands; you need to take into consideration the other ornaments that you will wear.
It is important to have a few key pieces of jewelry however do not over do it as they will only act as a distraction.
Start by making a list of the jewels that you would like to wear on your wedding day. This includes a pair of earrings, a necklace or a chain around your neck and a bracelet.
You could also choose to wear a wedding set which includes a chain, bracelet and a pair of earrings that match. If you are choosing the jewels separately then look out for pearls. Pearl drop earrings look gorgeous on a wedding dress.
Crystal earrings are not a bad choice either. If you decide to wear bracelets then avoid wearing them on the left wrist as you will have your wedding ring on that hand and you don’t want any additional distractions. A string of pearls around your neck or a single strand gemstone necklace is perfect. If you choose to wear a chain then wear a think simple chain with a tiny pendant.
Most brides want to look like princesses on their big day and in order to match that look they choose to wear tiaras. If you are wearing a tiara then you need to first choose from gold, silver, pearls, diamonds or crystal. If this is not your style then you could wear a fancy hair band or comb in your hair. You will also need to consider the hair style and veil that you plan on wearing before you decide on the tiara.
It is not a bad idea to wear a piece of jewelry that is borrowed from the mother of the bride. It is considered to bring good luck. Wearing a family heirloom is another good option; it also helps to bring the departed of the family together to attend your big day.
