Cellulite Fact
The lumpy and uneven appearance on the surface of the skin is known as cellulite. There are fat cells in the human body and these fat cells absorb and store other substances like the toxins in the bloodstream. There are times that the absorption process makes these blood cells to increase in size. There are times that there is an uneven absorption in some fat cells, which give rise to the lumpy appearance in the skin, which we know as cellulite.
Cellulite is more commonly seen in women because of the structure of the subcutaneous layer, in men this structure is different, the appearance of cellulite is lesser because the epidermis and the dermal layer is thicker than that of the females.

It is the biggest misconception among people that cellulite mostly affects those women who are obese and overweight. Though, there have been many examples stating that cellulite affect slim and petite women as well. This proves that cellulite is not a problem that is created by fat.

Whereas in the hard cellulite the skin need not be compressed to show the cellulite, it is visible at all times. This is called the dermo panniculosis derformans.
The other fact about cellulite is that it begins to appear on girls attaining their puberty as well. There are times that cellulite affects even the women in the pregnancy as there is a change in the hormones and the same in the birth control pills as well. The other cause of cellulite can also be attributed to any traumatic injury that has disrupted the circulatory system of the body, this leads to the formation of cellulite.
It is a known fact that heredity also plays a major role in the growth of cellulite in the body. There are times when the individual takes in less of water and this does not allow the toxins to be flowed out of the body. There are times that alcohol and caffeine can also increase the toxins in the body. It has been known that smoking is one of the major causes for the appearance of cellulite in the body. It damages the connective tissues, which are one of the main reasons to produce a dimpling effect on the skin.
One of the most important things to know about cellulite is that a controlled diet and precise exercise regime can be very successful in controlling the cellulite. One has to remember to stay away from over processed food and refined foods that include artificial additives, excessive salt and sugar. These not only increase the water retention in the cells at times but also allow the toxins to enter the body. On the other hand a diet, which includes a lot of green leafy vegetables and wholegrain, is an ideal diet to counter the problem of cellulite. They help to flush the toxins from the body.
Deep breathing is also very effective for cellulite; it helps in the waste removal of the body. Massage is also very beneficial for treating cellulite, it helps in the circulation of the body and provides proper nutrition to the tissues and helps in removing the toxins from the body.
Cellulite can affect anyone from age of 15 to that of 50 but with the increase of the age the problem becomes a little worse. This happens because as we go up the ladder the skin starts to become thinner, this leads to the cellulite becoming more visible on the surface of the skin. The skin compactness as well as the tone of the skin also decreases, this happens because the collagen in the skin starts to be getting less firm, which allows the fat cells to press further towards the skin.
As we get older the body’s natural waste products removal and the circulation also suffers a setback. There are some women who have noticed that as they age they start to pick up a weight, which becomes increasing difficult to shed.
