Cellulite Exercises
Cellulite is a problem, which affects almost 90 per cent of women worldwide. There have always been questions posed as to what is the most effective way to remove cellulite from the body. There are a number of anti cellulite products available in the market now but there are only handfuls, which may actually work towards giving you a cellulite free skin.
One of the most effective ways to get rid of cellulite is to follow a vigorous exercise regime everyday as regular exercise will facilitate in burning of the fat cells that are present in the subcutaneous layer of the skin. Hence, it helps in reducing the appearance of cellulite on the surface of the skin. In this article, we suggest a few anti cellulite exercises, which have proved beneficial to a lot of people and have given positive results as well.
In order to eliminate cellulite one has to do the cellulite exercises for at least five times in a week. These can be of any level ranging right from moderate to an intense form of exercises. It can include walks, runs, aerobic activity or yoga or a mixture of all.
These exercises have been aimed at improving the blood circulation of the back and the thigh area. It helps in toning the muscles as well. This is a simple exercise to follow. First kneel on the floor, then move your body and make your elbows touch the floor as well. The body should be able to form an arch. In the second position straighten your back, then lift one of the legs behind you and let it be on a straight line as the back. In the beginning you may not be able to achieve this but stretch till you can. Bring the leg down and comeback to the original position.
This is a very good exercise for your stomach and thighs. You have to sleep on your stomach, bend you elbows above your head and let the head rest on the arms under the head. Remember that the hip should touch the ground and should not be lifted during the routine. Now raise your left leg above and hold the position for a few seconds. Then point and flex the foot four times. Bring the left leg down and now repeat with your right leg. Each leg has to be repeated for about six to eight times
This is an excellent exercise for your inner thighs. In this sit on a chair and bend your knees at 90 degree angle and let the feet rest on the floor. Then place a pillow between the two thighs. Squeeze the pillow between the legs and exhale put as much pressure as you can. Now breathe normally for one or two minutes and then release the pillow. Repeat it for a few sets.
The other exercise is also called Pile Sweep in which one has to stand a foot wide apart with the toes pointing out. The hands have to be on the hips, keep the back straight and your abs tight. Then lower yourself till your thighs are parallel to the floor and count till three. Come back kick once in air and then switch the leg.
The next exercise targets the hips and outer thighs of the individual. Sit on a chair; now place the palms of your hand on the outside of your knees. Now push the knees outward against the palms. You have to try and push the palms away. Remember that the arms and the palms should not move during this exercise. Hold this position for a minute.
If you do not want to follow a regular exercise regime then we suggest an alternative. You can opt for a brisk walk, which involves brisk walking for five minutes and running for a minute following this for 10 sets will be very useful. The other workout can be a moderate one that might include cycling or swimming for around 40 minutes.
Open Air walking is recommended for cellulite suffers at times, one can go for a walk at a open space. The walking duration has to be increased with time. Start with walking for five minutes and then increase it to almost twice a day in three weeks. Remember to wear flat shoes while going for a walk.
You have to remember that one should not over do the exercise regime as this will result in fatigue. This can increase the toxin levels in the body and there have been times when the exercises have resulted in an opposite effect.
