    cancerdietCellulite is a very common skin problem and affects almost 95 per cent women in some stage of their life. It is a regular appearance on the thighs, buttock and the upper arms. Cellulite starts to develop in the subcutaneous fat layer. This layer has specific chambers in which the fatty parts are divided. The hormones help in the storage of the fat in the subcutaneous fat layer. There are times when this deposition appears on the surface of the skin through the connective tissues and appear in the form of cottage cheese or an orange peel.

    There is no specific diet that can help you to eliminate cellulite completely from the system but there are some special anti cellulite diets that have been formulated that can help in keeping cellulite appearance on the skin to the minimum. A specialized diet can help in the improvement of the complete health and its well being. This helps in reducing the fat content that is stored in the body. The removal of the toxins from the body gives a smoother appearance of the skin.

    Fresh fruits and vegetables should be a part of any diet and an anti cellulite diet is no different. They have a wide variety of vitamins, minerals, fiber and phytochemcials that are stored in it. These help to get rid of the pollutants from the body. Some of the fruits and vegetables contain anti oxidants as well, which help to reduce the damage inflicted by the free radicals in the body, which come into the body through smoke, alcohol and pollution.

    One has to remember this that at times the cellulite can be made to appear worse if there is a heavy intake of few items. Alcohol has been known to have one of the worst effects as this can dehydrate the body. If you want to make the cellulite appear lesser then you would have to limit the refined foods intake, this includes food items, which have artificial additives or sweeteners. One should also avoid soda and food rich in animal protein as this can lead to fat deposit.

    You have to keep it in your mind that a diet alone will not be able to help in the cellulite appearance; you have to follow this up with a moderate exercise regime regularly. The first step towards following a diet includes losing weight; one has to aim at having a low fat, high protein diet, which should include a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables in the meal.

    There are a few parts of the body that attract a larger quantity of water than the others. It has been found that when there is an excess of fluid in the body then at times this aggravates the swelling of the cells. This can be corrected by cutting down on your salt content and drinking at least eight to ten glasses of water everyday.

    The fat cells in the body are surrounded by collagen, which helps the skin to give a smoother texture. There are times when the collagen is damaged by free radicals like smoking, pollutants and even by the harmful rays of the sun at times. The radicals make the skin to be tougher and then shrink it further, which stretches the skin and make it to pucker up or bulge at times. The best way to avoid it is to have a regular serving of fruit and vegetables in the diet. This helps in flushing out the toxins from the body.

    Here we give a list of all those foods, which is beneficial for the an anti cellulite diet, which includes high protein rich foods like fish, chicken, beans, pulses these are known to have amino acids that help in fighting the fluid retention. Oily fish is not only a good source of protein it also helps in keeping the skin hydrated. Eggs have also been known to have a very high detoxifying agent as well as a rich source of protein. Low fat dairy products is also very rich in calcium, the other important part of the cellulite diet is bananas, which helps in the blood circulation and are excellent agents of fluid retentions in the body.

    One has to remember that while following the diet these things have to be kept in bay. Food with high sugar content as this produces more radicals than fat or high GI carbohydrates like white bread and baked potatoes, which help in raising the level insulin. One should by all means avoid ready meals and canned soups as they have a high salt content in the food, which leads to water retention in the body.
