This kind of cellulite is formed in the subcutaneous layer of the skin. The other form of cellulite is known as the medical cellulite, which is also termed as the infectious cellulite. There is one major misconception that we would like to clear before we go further is that there is no connection between cellulite and fat. They are in no way related to each other. It is believed that almost 95 per of women around the world suffer from cellulite.

There can be various reasons associated with the appearance of cellulite in the skin. It can be attributed to the genes, gender or the fat content in the body. These factors are at times mainly responsible for the cellulite formation in the body. The other common reasons for the appearance of cellulite in the skin are pollution that we inhale, lack of nutrition food that can help in the discharge of toxins from the body, hormonal disorder, which causes changes in the subcutaneous layer. This estrogen promotes the expansion and development of the fat cells around the breasts, thighs, buttocks and upper arm. This gives rise to cellulite in the body. There are times when genetics are also responsible for the development of cellulite in the body. It has been known that at times genes can cause poor circulation, hormonal sensitivity and weak veins. There are times when cellulite is hereditary as well.

The infectious or the medical cellulite is mostly caused by the bacteria streptococcus. This particular bacterium further produces enzymes, which further spreads the cellulite all over the body. This at times is also one of the major reasons for cellulite. This can enter the body through a scratch, lesion, sting, wound or bite.

Cellulite in women mostly appears on the buttocks, thighs, thighs and upper arm. Cellulite mostly appears in three different stages in the body, in the first stage there is inflation of the conjunctive tissues. In the second phase the area of the skin can be easily identified by touching as that particular area will start hurting at pressure. The third and the final stage is the one in which the cellulite starts to appear due to the fibrous tissue formation.

Massages can also prove to be very beneficial for cellulite but at times if the massage is done harshly then it can rupture the lymphatic vessels. There is a fluid formed with the broken down lymph vessels and it is used up in the tissues. This results in the formation of cellulite.  Stress is also known to be a major factor in the appearance of cellulite; it gives rise to the flow of adrenaline, which results in the fat storage in the stomach, hips, thighs and buttocks. Recent researches have yielded that smoking can also cause cellulite as these damages the connective tissues in the body that can lead to the dimpling of the skin.

Cellulite can make its appearance anytime during your life right from puberty to menopause. One of the most common symptoms of cellulite is that there is pain in the area when you touch it. There is presence of stretch marks on the affected area. You may feel a little weight, there can be muscular pain associated with cellulite. There can be back and neck ache. A feeling of coldness and there can be pain when lifting objects.
