Castor Oil Treatment for Hair Loss

But one is required to take regular treatments of these natural remedies.
One such natural remedy for hair loss is use of castor oil. Castor oil in combination with white iodine is most effective in treating hair loss. The first phase involves four weeks’ treatment after which the treatment should be carried out four times a month.
Castor oil and white iodine can be bought from any local drug store. When massaged into the hair castor oil and white iodine stimulate the hair follicles promoting new hair growth.
Castor oil massage also helps treat dandruff and dryness. On first day of the treatment warm the required quantity of castor oil over low flame. Castor oil is viscous in nature and needs to be heated a little to make it of a spreadable consistency. Start massaging castor oil on your scalp taking care to cover the bald or patchy areas well.
Cover the scalp and roots of the hair generously with castor oil. Once you have finished applying the castor oil wrap a wet towel around your hair.The towel have to be soaked in hot water and properly wrung, before applying.
The moisture and heat from the towel will help the scalp absorb the oil deeper and effectively. Keep your scalp covered with towel for 30 minutes. Wash hair with lukewarm water and your regular shampoo. Also condition your hair for better texture.
On second day of the treatment use white iodine in place of castor oil. Massage white iodine on the scalp and roots of the hair. Initiate deep penetration by wrapping a hot towel around your hair. Wash and condition as usual.
For the rest of the four weeks continue the treatment by alternating between castor oil and white iodine. You will notice the difference in your hair by the end of the first week itself. Your hair will be heavier and healthier and new hair would have already started growing. Along with curbing hair loss the castor oil and white iodine treatment will also give volume to your hair; making them lustrous and glossy.
