Caring For Curly Hair
Curling hair can be both a burden as well as blessing, depending on the way you take care of it. All curly hair are not same as each other and what product would suit one may not necessarily suit others. The right way of taking care of curly hair can be classified into three Cs – Cleansing, Condition and then Controlling.
Cleansing
For cleansing curly hair, it is extremely important to use a shampoo that doesn’t remove natural essential oils from your hair. Some people recommend that people with curly hair should not use any shampoo. However, this is not right because pollution and dust that get stuck to our hair and it cannot be removed with cleaning the hair with shampoo. Therefore, it is important to find a shampoo that is gentle and does not remove essential oils from your hair. Go for a neutral shampoo that is free from sulfate.
Conditioning
After cleansing your hair properly, it is important to add more moisture bank to your hair, particularly in the winter months. This can be done by conditioning your hair every time after you wash it. This means that if you wash your hair daily, then you have to condition it daily as well.
Controlling
The final important thing is to control the frizz that is a part of curly hair. To control this frizz, it is important to find such products that have been designed particularly for the curly hair. Various relaxing creams and special texture serums are available in the market that can be quite helpful in controlling frizz. Try various products and then determine the one that suit your hair the best.
Besides these steps, it is important to dry your hair in natural air only. Avoid use of hair dryers. If requires, use a diffuser with low heat setting. If you want to straighten your hair for a special occasion, always use an ionic hair dryer to minimize the damage.
