    Care For Finger Nails

    Everybody likes to have shiny and healthy nails .Even if you are dolled up from top to bottom; your shabby finger nails are guaranteed to spoil your entire look. Many women face problems like breaking and chipping away of nails. These problems can be taken care of by spending some time to care for your nails.

    The first step towards achieving beautiful nails is to give up the habit of biting them. Never ever bite your fingernails.Not only it is a very unsanitary habit, but it also leads to the formation of hangnails, thus spoiling the beauty of your nails.

    If you are involved in daily household duties like cleaning or gardening, then your nails are tend to be exposed to the harshness of the chemicals present in the cleaning agents and the fertilizers. Always wear hand gloves while engaging in these activities.

    The food you eat reflects directly your nails .Avoid junk food once and for all. Include items like yogurt in your daily diet. Also incorporate the required daily dosage of vitamin B, calcium and protein in your diet. Have plenty of raw fruits and vegetables. Take care to drink lots of water daily.

    Drinking carrot juice is also found to be very beneficial for the nails as it is very rich in calcium and phosphorus, which helps in strengthening of the nails.

    Trim your cuticles once a week. You can use a cuticle clipper for this purpose. Soften your cuticles by the daily application of cuticle cream. Applying a mixture of equal amounts of white iodine and castor oil also helps in cuticle care.

    Application of olive oil and almond oil helps not only in keeping the cuticles soft and smooth, but it also helps in providing you with shiny and healthy nails.

    Always clip your nails in a round or square shape. If you keep the tips of your nail very sharp, then the chances of them breaking are very high. Do not apply nail polish always as it causes nail yellowing .The more the nails are allowed to breathe, the healthier they become. Also a hand massage will boost your circulation and encourage nail growth.

    Thus by following the above tips, you can very well be the owner of healthy and gorgeous nails.
