Bodybuilding Diet and You
Ever seen the ‘before and after’ pictures of the model in a Bull worker ad? As a kid, I used to stare at the model and thought that by using Bull worker I would look just like the model. Never did I realize that the model’s body was a result of workouts and a proper bodybuilding diet followed to perfection. Same is the case with bodybuilding diets.
You are unique, in the sense that what may be a perfect bodybuilding diet for someone may not actually work for you at all. It is always prudent to consult an expert as to what is a perfect bodybuilding diet for you. Depending upon you body weight and height, and also your body’s dispositions, he would suggest a diet plan that is tailor made for you.
Bodybuilding diet means balanced diet
An ideal bodybuilding diet contains all the nutrients body needs in a balanced manner. The macro nutrients that are vital are the carbohydrates, proteins and fat in the ratio of 2:2:1. For every serving of carbohydrates, take equal amounts of protein. If the intake of nutrients is not balanced and you pay more attention to one of them, it will be stored in the body in the form of fat and all your effort will go to waste. Also it is important to change the calorie intake every 2 weeks so that the body metabolism does not get used to it. Water is an important part of a balanced bodybuilding diet program. Increase intake of water as it hydrates the body and suppresses the cravings. Eat at regular intervals of 2-3 hours so that the body does not think it is starving and starts storing fat.
Ideal Bodybuilding Diet is a Gradual Process
Let the body get accustomed to the bodybuilding diet. It is a time taking and gradual process. Do not try to change the metabolism of the body so soon and so fast that it is not able to adapt. Introduce changes every 2 weeks like cutting down on the intake of fat for the first two weeks, reducing consumption of sugar in the next 2 weeks and then replacing your favorite drinks with water in the next 2 weeks. Regular monitoring of calorie intake comes in the next 2 weeks. This is the proper way to getting closer to an ideal bodybuilding diet.
