Bintan Island- Paradise Island
Bintan Island is one of the Indonesian Islands located in the South China Sea and is easily accessible from Singapore by ferry. The passenger ferry leaves at regular intervals from the Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal near Changi International Airport. A visa is required for entry, which can be obtained on arrival (for some nationalities only).
Bintan Island is home to many resorts that cater to international tourists. Cumulatively called the Bintan Resorts, there are several hotels that come under this umbrella brand. High-end hotels like the Banyan Tree and Angsana Resort also come under this group.
Bintan Resorts are idyllic for weekend visits as apart from golf, swimming and spas, there is little else on offer. Most of the resorts provide some activity for each member of the family – golf an dwater sports for dad, spa for mom, swimming and an activity centre for kids!

Depeneding upon individual adventure levels, a person can choose from any of these sports, but ofcourse, at a price!
A walk on the beach at sunrise or sunset is unparalleled. An early morning walk allows the visitor to see the flora and fauna of the beach and contents of the sea that are washed ashore. Many sea shells in different shapes, sizes, colours and hues are washed ashore and can be collected by kids and adults alike.
Barbeque on the beach or a romantic dinner under the starry sky are some of the other offerings at Bintan. Numerous spas give you the option of various hair and body treatments. The luxury hotels tend to be expensive for these services, but then, if luxury is what you want, then this is where you get it!
