What do you call them hair bangs or fringes? Yes, there is a naming controversy. Hair, which is cut to fall on the forehead covering it fully or partially, is called hair bangs in the US. However, in Europe, they prefer to call it as fringes, as the word bang has a different meaning in Europe. There, the bangs means ‘off colour’’.
