Instead, they feel that too much face washing causes severe skin irritation thus worsening acne problem. On the contrary, it is better to wash your face twice or thrice a day using some good soap followed by drying the skin thoroughly.
You will also hear that poor and unbalanced diet can cause acne, especially regular consumption of oil and fat rich food stuffs. But this myth has also been discarded by the medical experts who say that there is diet has noting to do with acne. However, they admit that balanced diet is not only good for health but for skin also.
A sizable section of society feels that those habitual of masturbating or involved in frequent sexual activities are more prone to acne problems. But this myth, according to researchers, was just created in the past to deter the youngsters to engage in prenuptial sexual affairs.
Stress is said to be a reason for acne as well but the experts term it untrue. However, they say the people whose stress level increases and are recommended to take medicines by the doctors can have acne because of some chemical elements used in the medication.
A majority of people believe that acne forms a cycle and once it is complete, the problem vanishes. This can happen in some fortunate cases but otherwise, you would have to apply some anti-acne creams or use homemade lotions to eliminate acne. And even if the problem persists, then you should go to the dermatologists for proper treatment.
