Are Internet Confessions Good For The Health?
A new trend of posting “confession” willingly on different website has become a fashion these days. Some people believe this type of confession can relieve a person from anxiety, depression or guilt. But is it really so?
According to some therapists, people suffer from depression when they keep things bottled up inside. And depression can even cause cancer. Every one knows that it is good to let your rage out. A sudden outburst of rage can hurt us as well as others around us.
There are innumerable contradictory theories on whether confession is good for our health or not. Some believe that it has both good and bad effects. Experts believe that keeping secrets hidden in your heart can distort the immune system and make one vulnerable to disease.
Research and studies have not reached to any scientific conclusion. Every research proves some point or another. It’s basically nature of human being that determines everything. Some people feel relaxed after confession; others may feel easy after just taking a brisk walk, smoking a cigarette or so without confessing anything to anyone.
Regarding confession on the internet, some people think it is a harmless exercise that can bring great relief to a person and promote good health. But if we pay proper attention, we can see the darker side of it. Once you start confessing, people will take advantage and may use your confession as a gossip on the dinner table and make it a source of enjoyment for themselves. More the people read the confession, greater the chances of aggravation will be there.
Moreover there are people on the internet who always hide their identity and pose themselves as what they are actually not. They can misuse your confession and land you to trouble. There are even people who can frame up horrible stories as confession to shock the readers and get joy by horrifying people. So internet is not at all a safe place to confess anything.
So whenever you feel guilty about any of your thoughts, word or action, just turn to whom you have full faith (may be God). Apologize deeply for your behavior. Take a pledge, not to repeat the same mistake; you will definitely feel better.
