What are Anxiety Disorders?
Anxiety is a condition when a person feels anxious and tensed or scared in any under pressure situation. This is the condition when body responses to fear. It is a type of mental health disorder. A person who is facing this condition feels scary all the time and many a times this happens without any particular reason. A feeling of uncertainty and fearfulness occurs. This is also known as reaction to stress.
Symptoms
A feeling of threat is the main symptom of this alarming situation. Some of other symptoms includes tensed muscles, faster heart beat, a strong feeling of numbness in stomach and shivering or trembling sensation in legs and hands. When he/she talks to stranger, a feeling of hesitation occurs. He/she feels scary and unprotected in crowd.
Causes
There are some common situations which are commonly happens when anxiety takes place and some of the conditions are when you see a big podium and a large number of audience. In another condition you have to face exam or go for a big interview. Sometimes people who are going for a first date feels anxious. If are going to give presentation then you also face stressful condition. Some students face stress before the declaration of result of examination. When you have made a mistake and your boss is angry with you, you feel uncomfortable and all these are associated with anxiety.
Types
There are five types of anxiety disorders: Panic Disorder, Social Phobia and Obsessive Compulsive disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Post-Traumic Stress Disorder. All types of disorders have different symptoms and causes too.
Treatment
Those who have any kind of disorder must consult the physician as soon as possible. The physician can diagnose the problem and get which type of anxiety disorder is this and provide medication according to that. If you are facing the problem from more than 6 months then you should immediately start treatment as ignorance can worsen the condition.
A feeling of self-condition is as necessary as the consultation of doctor. The patient have to increase the self-esteem. He/she should not felt himself ignored person and should take initiatives to solve the problems independently.
