Alcohol Addiction Ill Effects
Alcohol was introduced as an anti depressant but nowadays, it has been used widely for pleasure. Alcohol is socially accepted drink and while it may give temporary relief from the stress and tensions of mind, it has some serious side effects in long run.
Over consumption may even lead to death. It is believed that people who drink alcohol are shortening their life to a great extent. Problems of liver damage, complications in pregnancies are often seen as its side effect.
Alcohol dehydrates the body it makes you extremely thirsty. It has a huge amount of empty calories which affects the health of body. For pregnant ladies, it is always advisable not to drink during the pregnancy since it may cause a permanent damage in brain.
The baby can also be affected by the consumption of alcohol. He may have physical deformities or some untreatable disorders. Alcohol can bring dullness of sensation, impaired memory and judgment, sleeplessness and sometimes death as well. It may even bring rift between the family members and can play havoc in people’s lives.
Many people are mistaken thinking it’s a stress reliever and an anti depressant while it brings in depression and its addiction is not even remotely similar to that of coffee. While a person drinks alcohol, the alcohol he drinks enters the blood stream as well which is not good for health. Alcohol can prompt a person to misbehave, show aggression and do some socially unacceptable things.
One may lose consciousness and do devil things like showing sexual openness, spilling secrets and in serious cases, committing crime like robbery, rapes, etc. In most of the suicidal cases, a person is found drunk which shows that a person loses his consciousness to such an extent that he can’t judge between right and wrong.
Drinking excessive alcohol can case throbbing aches and pain in joints of body. If a person regularly drinks excess of alcohol, it is most definite that his liver would get damaged. So looking at such side effects of alcohol, one must try and reduce its consumption and eventually try to quit alcohol for a healthy and happy life.
