acne1-300x299Acne is a broad term used to describe any kind of formation on the surface of the skin when the pores get blocked. These might be different in nature; the various formations include blackheads, whiteheads, pimples, zits and cysts. The other common misconception about acne is that it appears on the face but one should know that acne can appear even on the body.

Acne can have an adverse affect on the social life of an individual to a large extent. Acne is not life threatening but it can have an adverse affect on the psychological health of an individual.

In this article we explore the various ways or tips that can be taken into consideration to avoid or cure acne. The first and the foremost tip is that the acne should never be squeezed or picked. This is a common practice but it can not only extend the healing process but may well leave a scar behind at times.

Acne is caused when the oil glands and dead skin block the pores of the skin. Acne first appears on the sebaceous hair follicles. Then it forms a lump, which takes the form of a pimple on the skin in about three to four weeks.

There are some pimples that are persistent and do not get cured even with the over the counter products. In such cases one has to consult a dermatologist. It might be possible that you need some special treatment to cure that acne.

Antibiotics can be a very effective option for acne prone skin as they do not allow the bacteria to grow, which thrives on the clogged pores with the result of the sebaceous glands. They can be a very effective remedy for preventing the reoccurrence of acne.

According to a recent research coffee can actually aggravate our stress levels as it stimulates the production of cortisol. Thus, try to limit the coffee cups during the day. In fact try and trade that for a cup of green tea or normal tea. it has been found that  coristol level can lead to acne.

Stress can also be an integral part of treating an acne. It has been known that when an individual’s stress level increases then the body releases cortisol. It is though easier said than done as most of us cannot avoid a stress situation. So, we suggest that clean your face at least twice with a anti bacterial soap to clear your skin if you are stressed. If you are using some over the counter products for acne then start applying them more often.

There are times when prescription and over the counter products are not able to have any effect on the acne. In these cases it might be possible that you are suffering from a wheat induced acne problem. This can be treated by Skintactix. When an individual is suffering from wheat induced acne the other acne products do not work on your skin.

There are some people who are allergic to milk and milk products, sometimes this allergy can also trigger acne in such individuals. As in the case of wheat if you have acne from milk then it is possible that it will not be treated even with prescription drugs. Here also you would have to try the Skintactix products, if this also does not help try avoiding milk and milk based products and see the reaction of acne in such cases.

You can keep acne at bay by including anti oxidants fruits and vegetables in your diet. A healthy and balanced diet is essential for healthy skin. There are some integral vitamin in fruits and vegetables that help in the prevention of acne.

Acne can lead to premature skin aging. There are times when the moderate and severe acne on the face can produce free radical in the skin, which tends to make the skin age faster. There are times when benzoyl peroxide used to heal the acne can also speed the anti aging process. We suggest that heal the acne with lesser harsh chemicals to prevent aging.

Acne can sometimes be even caused due to a hormone supplementation; in such cases a doctor’s opinion is essential. There are times when heredity can also lead to acne. If your parents suffer from it then there are times that the children also get it.

There are a lot of women who have complained of having increased acne at the time of menstruation. This happens because of the increase in the level of hormones but as this cannot be controlled. One should follow a good skin regime try and keep the face clean and during a week before your cycle avoid milk and milk products.
