Meat should be cooked well before eating. A healthy life style along with healthy diet keeps the immune system strong which further helps combat viruses like swine flu. Ample rest and sleep, drinking enough water to keep toxins out of body, avoidance of alcohol, physical fitness through exercise, avoiding contact with sick people and, also not visiting swine flu affected countries is advisable.
