A To- Do List for Wedding Planning
The moment you get engaged you need to start planning your wedding. This will give you enough time to enjoy the planning process and breathe while you are doing it. If you put off the planning in the initial stages your work will pile up and you won’t have time to handle all the details later on and this will cause great amounts of stress.
There are a few steps that you will need to follow if you want to plan your wedding in a systematic manner. The longer the gap between the engagement and the wedding the better and more effectively you will be able to plan your day. Ideally most couples wait for a year before they walk down the aisle. To help you out I have put together a check list.
In the first stage of your planning you need to finalize a theme and a color for the wedding. You also need to get in touch with the vendors that you desire to work with and get on board with them. Book your wedding ceremony and reception locations and also get a hold of entertainment for the day. You can choose to have a live band or a DJ at your reception. If you are trying to cut costs at the wedding then you could hire a friend or a relative to DJ; just ensure that they are capable of handling their responsibility. Start making a list of the music that you would like the DJ or the band to play at your wedding.
In the second stage of your planning you need to start dealing with the intricacies of the wedding. The vendors will offer you a variety of options and you will need to finalize the cake, décor, flowers, attire for the bridal entourage, the bridal couple’s attire and most importantly the rings. You also need to finalize the invites and get a response from your guests.
In the third stage of your wedding planning you need to have a list your guests that have confirmed. This will help you to finalize the seating arrangement. You will need to have a seating chart planned out. Your gown needs to be fitted perfectly and you will also need to confirm a stylist for your hair and makeup for the day. Visit your stylist for a few practice sessions so that you can time the entire ordeal and look perfect on your big day.
In the last few days you need to select a honeymoon destination, hand out tasks to the bridal entourage and relax as much as you can to avoid looking tired or exhausted on your wedding day.
