Our recommendation is to try out a few simple and effective home remedies before consulting a doctor. These remedies are inexpensive and most of them are natural without any side effects.
Seven Easy and Effective Ways to Get Rid of Back Acne
1. Treatment of Back Acne Using Baking Soda
The glaring truth about skin suffering from acne is that it isn’t exfoliated enough. As a result, there is accumulation of dirt, sebum, dead skin cells and grime inside the pores of the skin. When the dirt inside the clogged pores gets oxidized it results in formation of blackheads, pimples and acne.
Therefore, it is important the skin be exfoliated regularly to keep the pores from getting clogged. Prepare a solution of three tablespoons baking soda, rosewater and one teaspoon honey. Pour this paste on a loofah or a scrub and massage your back with it.
If you can take the help of someone then get him/her to exfoliate your back properly. Scrub the skin well till it starts tingling. However, massage gently and don’t cause abrasions on the skin. After massaging for 10-12 minutes wash off your back well with lukewarm water only. Don’t apply soap for the next 6 hours. Perform this treatment every day for the next 10-12 days n order to get rid of back acne completely.
2. Treatment of Back Acne Using Turmeric Paste
Make a paste of turmeric and water by adding three teaspoons of turmeric in sufficient quantity of water. The paste should not drip. You can wear old clothes once the paste dries completely. Do not wash your back. Let turmeric work its magic on your acne through the night. In the morning wash off using lukewarm water and a medicated soap.

Not only will turmeric help get rid of the acne on your back but will do so without leaving any scars behind.
3. Treatment of Back Acne Using Oatmeal
Take two tablespoons coarsely ground oatmeal powder and mix it with a little cream or lotion. Apply this mixture all over your back. Leave it on for five minutes. Wet a loofah and gently start scrubbing your back with it.
Wash off with lukewarm water after scrubbing for 5-10 minutes. Oatmeal is an excellent exfoliator that cleans the skin off dead skin cells, sebum and other waste accumulation in the pores. You can do exfoliation with oatmeal powder twice a week to keep your back acne-free and smooth.
4. Treatment of Back Acne Using Mud Pack
Prepare a mud pack by mixing one tablespoon fuller’s earth, one teaspoon sandalwood powder and rosewater. Apply the paste evenly all over the back. Once the paste dries wash off using cold water.
Fuller’s earth will draw out the impurities from the skin while sandalwood powder will soothe the skin and avoid formation of scars. If you live in hot climate then use this mud pack every alternate day. For people living in cooler areas application of the pack twice a week is recommended.
5. Treatment of Back Acne Using Aloe Vera Gel
Invest in a plant of aloe vera. It does not cost much nor does the plant require much care. Take a leaf of the plant and wash it well.
